Privacy policy

Wendy: this is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Fill in every square-bracket blank, and have someone qualified check it if you start selling at volume or outside the US.

The short version

I collect your email address so I can send you what you asked for. I don't sell it, rent it, or trade it. You can leave at any time and I'll delete it.

What I collect

• Your email address, when you download a free product or buy something.
• Your name, if you give it.
• Order details — what you bought and when. Payment card details go to the payment processor, never to me.
• Country, where it's needed to work out sales tax or VAT.

Why

• To deliver the file you asked for
• To send you occasional emails about new products, if you opted in
• To handle refunds and support
• To meet tax record-keeping requirements

Who else touches your data

• Payhip — checkout, file delivery and payment processing.
• Cloudflare — hosts this site and serves the pages.

Each of them has its own privacy policy. I don't give your data to anyone else.

Cookies and tracking

This site itself sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Payhip's checkout sets the cookies it needs to process your order. Delete this section and replace it if you add analytics later.

Emails

Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list. I won't email you again unless you opt back in.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@shopthesoftreset.com and I'll do it within 30 days. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have these rights explicitly under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA.

How long I keep it

Email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Order records: as long as tax rules require, then deleted.

Children

This site isn't intended for anyone under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their data.
